If you looked into my lipstick collection a couple of months back, you would have seen a few battered MAC lipsticks that looked like they hadn't seen the light of day for some time. For a while, it seemed like I was the only one not on the MAC wagon and for years I hadn't picked up a new MAC lipstick purely because of the lack of quality my current ones had. Recently, I had an urge to go into my local MAC and swatch some their lipsticks and for a while now I have been on the look out for the perfect Autumn/Winter lipstick that is both suitable for day and night time wear.
My latest addition, Diva, is berry toned which is perfect if you're looking for an on-trend shade that is wearable, vampy and complimentary to almost every skin tone. It's matte formula means that it sits for hours without the need to re-apply and I find that this lasts around 3 hours without the need to touch up. I particularly like wearing this lipstick in conjunction with a neutral make up look or a subtle wash of colour on the eyes. This shade isn't as drying as the other shades I have tried, however I would still recommend applying a moisturising lip balm before and after application. It is very rich in texture and intense in colour, perfect for day to night make up looks. I would recommend this for anybody looking for a versatile berry toned lipstick for the winter season and I certainly will be repurchasing when I run out.
