MAC Quad Palette |
After lusting after multiple eyeshadow colours from MAC for some time now, I chose to put together a MAC quad palette myself and after much deliberation I picked the four colours that caught my eye the most. Even though I have several eyeshadow palette that are neutral in colours, I thought I would still stay within my comfort zone when picking these four as I wanted a palette that I was able to wear daily.
All That Glitters (Top Left) All that glitters has been on the top of my most wanted list since I can remember. It was inevitable that this was going to be my first shade in the palette because not only is it a great highlight colour, it also works if you want an all over lid colour without any hassle.
Sable (Top Right) After I chose fig 1, I wasn't quite sure what to team it with. I'd heard that sable was a taupe-y colour with purple tones, so I thought that this would compliment this collection of shades. After one swatch, I was in love. This works for both highlighting, all over the lid and in the crease.
Fig 1 (Bottom Left) I initially went looking for Cranberry, but some how ended up with Fig 1. This is a dark matte purple which is perfect if you want to add a pop off colour to the crease. After looking for a perfect purple shade to add to a smokey eye, I definitely chose right.
Handwritten (Bottom Right) Handwritten is a matte rich chocolate brown shade which is one of the most perfect crease shades I own. I find that this pulls a little purple on me, but I like that this compliments the other shades I chose.
