Scarves | You can't beat a scarf for adding a bit of colour to a monochrome outfit or for wrapping up warm in the evenings. I've never been one for scarves, but I do like to keep it simple with either a hounds tooth pattern or tartan.
Lightweight Cardigans | Light weight and perfect for layering especially If it isn't cold enough to need a jacket or you just want something to throw on, a lightweight cardigan is perfect especially for keeping your warm, but never so hot as to bring on those clammy winter sweats you get when you wrap up too much. I like pastels, monochrome and marl grey as a simple colour that matches the majority of my wardrobe. I tend to go for a long cut, oversized or bat wing in order to flatter my shape.
Jeans | Black jeans to be specific. Even though I wear my Topshop Joni Jeans all year round, I find that during the spring, jeans are a great transitional piece on those days when it is too cold to wear a skirt . Black is a colour that runs throughout my wardrobe and black jeans is a staple item that should be in every girls wardrobe.
Stripes | I LOVE stripes! To be honest I could wear stripes all year round and looking like a sailor is what I specialise in. However, I do think stripes work particularly well when paired with the above items. Short sleeved or 3/4's, a monochrome stripe or navy and white flatters curves as well as bringing a bit of style to catch the eye.
