New Purchases | The High Street Edit

Maybeline Dream Flawless Nude, Max Factor Creme Puff Blush, L'Oreal Infalliable Base

I have little will power when it comes to Boots and their 3 for 2 offers, so I thought I would take the opportunity to pick up a few products that everyone has been raving about.

Initially I only went into Boots to see the new and much hyped about Max Factor Creme Puff Blushes, however I nearly left empty handed when I couldn't decide what shade I wanted (Top blogger points for not walking away with the whole lot). Seductive Pink was the shade that caught my eye the most, the multi tonal, baked style blushers have quickly become a staple in the blogging world, consistently being compared to the infamous Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushers. At nearly £20 less than the Hourglass Blushers, I definitely think I will be collecting a few more of these.

The Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude foundation has been on my wishlist even since I saw it being featured on Wish Wish Wish and I knew that I had to have it. After covering my arm in swatches trying to find the correct shade for my skin tone, I ended up with the shade Cameo firmly in my clutches. This lightweight, silk finish foundation just spoke to me as I am currently on the search for more lighter feeling bases as the seasons are starting to change and hopefully the weather will be getting hotter (we can wish).

As a bit of a foundation hoarder, I had to really try my hardest to resist buying the L'Oreal Infalliable Matte Foundation, but after I said to myself "You don't need another foundation" I decided that nevertheless I wouldn't leave empted handed, so I instead opted for the L'Oreal Infalliable Mattifying Primer. For me, a primer should maximise my foundation longevity and smooth out any imperfections or dry patches, resulting in a perfect base for my foundation.

After my recent successful shopping trip, I will definitely be heading back to my favourite beauty aisles to make the most of this offer.b

Have you had a chance to use the 3 for 2 Boots offer over the weekend?

  2. I have bought the l'Oréal Infallible 24H Matte foundation and it really is lovely! I use it all the time. It's so lightweight on the skin! They don't sell the primer in Belgium, which is so weird right? :D I wish I could try it out!

  8. I really love the new Maxfactor blushes, they are so beautiful! I've heard that foundation tends to stick to dry patches so I won't be trying it out as I've got such dehydrated skin lately x

  9. I bought the Flawless Nude foundation the second I saw it in store. After using Dream Matte Mousse throughout my teenage years I just couldn't resist. At first I was really disappointed but I'm giving it another go now and hopefully I get wowed by it! The dropper applicator is such a faff to use though, sadly.

  12. That 3 for 2 offer is the end of me, and the start of a very healthy advantage card points balance! That maxfactor blush looks perfect, but undoubtedly I'd come out of the store with a lot more than just that..!

  19. I also took advantage of the Boots 3 for 2 and went for the Maybelline foundation, the new L'Oreal foundation and one of the new Bourjois Aqua Laque's. I've tried the Maybelline foundation and love it but haven't tried the L'Oreal one yet. Even though I have enough primers already and am not really a fan of many of them anyway I'm finding myself really tempted by the accompanying L'Oreal primer x
