I remember when the Bourjois Java Rice Powder was one of the most lusted after dupes, but as I haven't seen much about it recently, I thought that I would share my view on the comparison.
Although it's initial dupe was for the various shades including Dim Light, it is without a doubt a match for Incandescent Light in the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, especially when applied to the face. With a light, pale hue it's great under the eyes for diminishing dark circles. I like to apply this either with a beauty blender, by pressing the product into the skin or with a light dusting using a face brush.
They both boost radiance and help treat lacklustre skin, however the Bourjois offering is a little bit more on the silicon side which means that, although it conceals your pores better, if you over apply then it can easily appear caked.
Obviously the biggest difference between the two is that one is pressed whilst the other one is loose, however once on the face there isn't much difference to how they perform. Both the offerings have shimmer running through them, however I do find that the Hourglass powders are a little more refined and look far more natural when swatched. The price is obviously worth mentioning, the Bourjois one being priced at under £10 whilst the Hourglass powders go for £40 and £59.
Have you tried the Bourjois Java Rice Powder?
