Fresh, Natural Makeup

Dewy, healthy looking makeup is my uniform all year round, but I've recently put together a handful of products that just work better together than any other products I've tried. Here are my top fresh, natural makeup picks:

I find that fresh, healthy looking makeup often starts with the skincare and this is where I've been taking a bit more care. I prep my eyes using The Ordinary's Caffeine Solution* to help tighten, refresh and make my peepers look a little less puffy. I then follow it up  with either a moisturiser if my skin is feeling particularly dry or the Glossier Priming Moisturiser. The latter still hydrates the complexion without making it feel greasy, but it reduces redness, makes my skin appear dewier and prolonging the wear of makeup too. Since wearing this with a spot of the Becca Backlight Priming Filter* on top I've had many compliments with how healthy my base is looking.

If my skin looks good I like to leave it there; for the base only dabbing a little concealer onto any blemishes, but if it needs any extra help I like to use my Too Faced Born This Way Foundation with a damp Beauty Blender to help create an even finish. Using only half a pump of this will give a natural finish to the skin with it being undetectable too. The LA Girl Lilac Colour Corrector* wasn't something I thought I'd get much use out of, but when paired with a natural base it really helps to brighten my complexion, especially the area above and below my cheekbone.

Although I stopped for a while, I've been using a liquid highlighter again. The NYX Sunbeam Illuminator is amazing when applied after your base, but before your blush for an understated, yet ethereal look.

Aside from the priming moisturiser, the real star of the show is the Glossier Dusk Cloud Paint, a dreamy soft peachy nude cream blusher that blends seamlessly into the skin. I like to dab on a few dots to my cheeks and use a beauty blender to blend it in, but fingers work just as well too.

To finish the look off, if my complexion needs a little extra bit of colour, I reach for the  Becca Sunlit Bronzer*. It blends into my skin seamlessly and it's extremely natural on the skin, so you run no risk of applying too much. This is one of the only bronzers that can be applied to bare skin and not look too out of place - Perfect!
