The Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara

Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara
I've been trying out the newly released Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara*; a mascara that claims to create super fat, super long and 'sex-proof' lashes. I've been putting it to the test over the past week and although I'm still uncertain, I thought I'd share with you my first impressions of it.

It goes without saying that I'm pretty fussy when it comes to mascaras, so the fact that I've been wearing this daily says a lot. My eyes are quite sensitive to formulas, so I was glad that I didn't get any reaction. As someone who has remained faithful to budget mascaras up until recently, a mascara has to impress me a lot if I was to buy it again, especially so if it's more than I'd usually spend.

Although the formula is drier than others that I have tried, it still can be layered up with ease without clumping or flaking. The wand is slim and synthetic which I like, although it could be a little too harsh on the more sensitive eyes as the bristles are quite "spiky". The reason I like the wand is that it coats each and every lash perfectly, meaning that you get a fluttery looking lash that is both lengthened and volumised.

I put it to the ultimate test by wearing this out exercising and even between sweating and the temperamental weather it didn't flake off. Of course, it goes without saying that when I rubbed my eye it did come off a little bit on my fingers and it certainly isn't tear proof as it went all over my face, which is weird considering how great it lasted me without a few tears. Longevity of a mascara is important to me as I want something that will withstand wear and tear and although it did last all day on me, it certainly can't claim to be waterproof.

I don't particularly have straight looking lashes, but I do struggle with them looking at little bit worse for wear at the end of the day. This held a curl perfectly, keeping them looking fluttery and lengthened too. On the whole it's a great mascara and one that is perfect if you're looking for a long wearing mascara, but it's important to consider that if you spend a lot of time outside in the rain or if you're feeling tearful on a particular day, then this may run down your cheeks.

Will you give this mascara a try?
