Autumn Makeup

The soft subtle shimmers and berry hued lipsticks are just a couple of my favourite things about Autumn makeup. It's a magical time of the year and this time around I've really gotten into all things beauty related. I wanted to share with you my current Autumn makeup routine, full of the items I've been testing out and my favourite picks of the bunch.

For my base, I have been loving the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation again. The latter is great for when I want a natural, glowy finish and the Too Faced offering is perfect for those who want a higher coverage.

I'm still having a moment with Glossier, Wowder and Cloud Paints being two of my favourite products from them. The powder helps to mattify my face whilst making my base last much longer and the Cloud Paints, specifically in Haze, is a great Autumnal berry hue that adds a pop of colour to my cheeks with a natural finish.

Fenty Beauty was an October discover of mine and one where I found a new favourite contouring product, the Amber Match Stix. Not only is the formula easy to blend -going from a 'dry' cream to a powder and appearing instantly matte on the skin- but it's super natural, buildable, and its cool-toned shade couldn't be more suited for my skin tone. I can't sing this product enough praise as it's completely changed my contouring routine, making it possible to contour easily on a daily basis if I want to.

I knew as soon as I received it that the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette* was going to be a hit this Autumn, and I wasn't wrong. The array of warm toned eyeshadows, ranging from coppery reds to dark matte burgundy, are perfect for creating a daily look or a intense smokey eye if you want to too.

I've been absolutely smitten with a new brow duo, the Maybelline Brow Tattoo Tint and Glossier Boy Brow. The tint fills in my brows naturally and it lasts for a few days, meaning I only have to top it up with Boy Brow to give my brows a fluffy, defined look.

I've found myself reaching for liquid lipsticks more often and my new addition, Huda Beauty Nude Love Collection*, is one that I've been wearing quite a lot. Their formulas are lightweight enough so you don't feel them on and they don't dry out my lips either - Which is great considering my lips often feel chapped this time of year.

What are your favourite Autumn makeup items?
