The humid weather and hayfever tends to play havoc with my skin in the Summer months, so blemish busting treatments, lightweight yet nourishing moisturisers and all the easy, fuss free makeup removers are what I rely on. I've wanted to share my current skincare routine with you for some time and I think because of the current everlasting heatwave, now is the right time.
I was kindly sent the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel* by Cult Beauty for their 10th birthday and let me tell you, it's a dream to have this back in my life. It honestly makes removing makeup a dream and my skin just loves it so much as it leaves it feeling moisturised and clean. My second cleanse tends to change, so I can't pin point exactly the one I'm using at the moment.
For a exfoliating treatment, it's still the Pixi Peel and Polish* that I've been reaching for as it just makes my skin look and feel divine. It gets rid of every last bit of grime and sweat from the day too which is great.
Treatments and masks are what are transforming my skin at the moment, the Philosophy Purity Mask* being the one of choice for pore extracting, face cleansing and the Fresh Rose Face Mask* for adding a boost of hydration and serious glow. I shamefully got burnt lips a few weeks back, so the Dr Lipp Nipple Balm* has been a life saver to getting them back to the way they were - it's a super thick formula that I leave on overnight.
In the morning I apply a new addition to my skin before moisturiser and that is the Milk Makeup Watermelon Serum to add an extra layer of moisture which is especially great around the eyes. The moisturiser of choice is the Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet* as it's super lightweight, but it really packs a punch. If I'm looking for more of a deep treatment, I apply it with the Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Oil* a couple of hours before I go to sleep to enable it to sink in and for my skin to really reap the benefits.
