An Autumn Base Routine

As a beauty blogger, you'd probably assume that I change up my base routine super regularly, but I regularly go back to the same products. Saying this, I thought it was about time I did an updated version of this post and share with you the foundation, concealer and powder that is currently in my makeup bag.

I've switched primers recently back to the Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow* and it's one of my favourite products from them, although can you believe I've never owned a full sized one? It adds a lovely glow to the skin and is a little thinner (and slightly more hydrating) than the Flawless Filter*. Using this underneath my makeup has really made my complexion look so much more illuminated and healthier especially as it's been looking dehydrated and lacklustre lately.

As for foundation, I've been switching between three depending on how I'm feeling and the occasion. The Bourjois Healthy Mix is still the one I reach for a lot as it's such a great all rounder especially when my skin is feeling dry and I want a medium, dewy looking finish. The Clinique Even Better* base is the newest addition to my collection, but one I've lusted after for some time. It's quite deceiving as although it's super lightweight and natural, it can offer some serious punch in terms of coverage. Another high coverage option is the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation* which is one I've been using for years and it's great when I want a long lasting, demi-matte base that conceals blemishes and redness easily.

For underneath my eyes I've been reaching for the Huda Beauty Overachiever Concealer* a lot as it's super brightening and as it offers high coverage, it's great at covering up any dark circles I have. For the rest of my face I like using my Too Faced Born This Way Sculpting offering as although it's ever so slightly lighter than my skin tone, I can get it to work and it delivers a gorgeous finish with medium coverage.

To set my base, I've been using the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Powder* and oh my it's delightful to use. I've never been a fan of baking, but this is super easy and it doesn't cake on the skin either. Instead, it makes the complexion feel and look super smooth! It prolongs the wear of my base makeup and the loose powder will honestly last such a great time.
