Despite loving the Urban Decay palettes as much as I do, when the Naked Cherry Palette* was released I wasn't all that bothered about picking it up. I think as the Heat Palette* was the palette I reached for last Summer, I thought I didn't need 'any more warm tones', but guess what? I was wrong. Today, I thought I'd share with you some of my thoughts on the most coveted palette at the moment and whether it's worth the investment.

One thing that I was hesitant about was how much use I'd actually get out of the palette as the darker pink shades looked a bit scary when I first opened the palette up. Other than the shade Juicy which I do struggle incorporating into my looks, I have found a way to use these tones in an array of ways. Feelz, Turn On and Ambitious are great to create a brown toned look, the latter shade being one that I'm very impressed by both in pigmentation, formula and how much use I've been getting out of it. The next look could be a more classic warm toned formed of Devilish, Drunk Love and Drunk Dial which creates a dark smokey eye perfect for a night out. Of course it goes without saying that although this palette does offer a few alternative options for everyday wear, it's all about experimenting and I've really loved playing around with this.

I previously mentioned formula and I'm happy to report that they live up to the standard of their other naked palettes. The mattes and shimmers blend effortlessly together and despite thinking that the darker pinks could appear patchy if you're not careful, they're actually much easier to work with that I thought. The shimmers for me are what make this palette stand out, Ambitious is one I'd happily buy in a single, but Drunk Dial has enabled me to finally love a ultra-dark smokey eye on myself and Turn On just speaks for itself when you swatch it - being a rose gold that looks great in the middle of the eye.

The only real issue I have is the first shade, which I've mentioned in previous reviews of the other palettes. I just can't find a real use for it as it's quite chalky in texture and blends out to be nothing. The second shade can be used to create a bare base for me to work on and can help me blend colours into my crease when I want to go for something a little more understated, but on darker skin tones I feel like this shade wouldn't work.

Will you be trying out the new Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette?
