The clocks haven't even gone forward yet, but I'm starting to get excited for Spring and the warmer weather that it'll bring. I always like to check out Pantone's Colour of The Year as it can often be a hint as to what the next trend will be and for 2019, it's coral, a hue that I'm not often sporting in fashion (but read to the end if you want to see my top picks), but in makeup it's one of my favourites.
For eyes, I actually find it fairly hard to work peachy and coral tones into a look, but the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette* makes it a lot easier. All their shades in the palette work together and the brighter hues suit my complexion perfectly.
Blushers are my favourite way to incorporate this hue into my usual makeup routine and the Benefit Coralista* is the OG option in my opinion. As the name would suggest, it's a true coral shade with shimmer running through it that perks up the complexion and adds a pop of colour to the cheekbones. Another one that I reach for it H&M's Powder Blusher which in general is a brand no one seems to talk about anymore when it comes to their beauty range, but their amazing formulas and dreamy packaging are definitely worth checking out.
It took me a while to get comfortable with wearing coral on the lips, but the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment* in Punch is one that I feel would suit all skin tones. It's nourishing formula sits comfortably on the lips and the tint just gives off the perfect amount of colour.
I'm not just sticking to makeup this time either and I thought it'd be the perfect excuse to share my favourite coral lifestyle and fashion picks too. As I previously mentioned, coral isn't a hue that I ever usually wear and if I'm honest I never feel like I can pull it off. Saying this, there are some gorgeous pieces on the internet right now, like this Topshop Satin Bias Skirt which honestly looks like it'll perk up my wardrobe nicely!
What are your coral favourites? What do you think of Pantone's Colour of The Year?
