The Cutest Palette Ever? The Nars Mini Wanted Palette Review

When it comes to eyeshadow palettes, I'm like a magpie with something shiny; I can't help, but want it! When each full sized Nars palette is released I always talk myself out of needing it, but when I spotted that they'd released a Nars Mini Wanted Eyeshadow Palette* it instantly went onto my wishlist.

Of course it goes without saying that above everything else, it's the shades and their formulas that are the most important element of the palette. These 6 shades compliment each other perfectly if you want to make a look using all of them, but they can all be used in different pairings to make a variety of looks. I've got oily lids in the Spring and Summertime, so trying this out when the weather was warm was definitely a risk, but I'm happy to report that they offer great pigmentation and longevity.

The lightest matte shade on the top left is usually the hue that I'm left disappointed by, but this one actually offers something up. The one on the right of this shade is perfectly velvety, delivering a rose gold hue that compliments the shade on the bottom left, another shimmering offering that adds a pop of glitter to the lids. The two red hues make for a dreamy warm toned smokey eye, but the one I'm getting the most use out of is the central brown shade called Shadowhill which blends into the crease seamlessly and works to add definition to my eye.

The size of the palette has to be noted as this is very small, dinky in fact. Length wise it's the same as the Nars Laguna Bronzer and then half it's width, just so you have some reference as to what you're getting. Even thought it's tiny, it's great for travelling as it's palm sized so doesn't take up much room and if you're not a big user of eyeshadow then this will be for you as this will mean that you'll make your way through this palette.

Have you tried the new Nars Mini Wanted Palette?

Three Summer Books To Read

Three Summer Books To Read
- All links in this post are affiliate links. Head to my disclaimer for more information -

I've got to admit I've got a shameful amount of boots still in my to-read pile as I've taken a  bit of time out since I last finished a novel in full. I feel like Summer is the perfect time to start up my daily routine of reading a chapter or two, so I've got three books I've pulled out that I want to read this season.

First up is Anybody Out There by Marian Keyes, another book in the Walsh Family series. I absolutely loved Rachel's Holiday, so I can't believe it's taken me this long to pick this one up as I'm half way through this book and I've already started looking out for my next read from MK. It's great if you like a light hearted, funny at times read that still offers a strong storyline that you can get your teeth stuck into.

I'm a sucker for a thriller and I find them really hard to put down, so I've taken The Couple Next Door on holiday with me in the hope that I'll have a spare few hours here and there to start reading this. I'm hoping that it'll be similar to that of After Anna, Gone Girl and Girl On The Train as I love something that'll have me hooked!

If I'm honest looking back I'm not completely sure why I bought The Keeper of Lost Things because I don't tend to pick up anything that runs the risk of making me sad, but after reading lots of great reviews it's now made it's way onto my Summer to-read list.

Although these are the three books I've already bought and therefore is on my TRP, I've got quite a few books on my wishlist and that I've been lusting after picking up. Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine, This is Going To Hurt and Normal People are three that I've heard lots about.

What's on your to-read pile this Summer?

A Staycation Travel Beauty Bag

Travel Beauty Bag

I feel like it's become a tradition now to share my travel beauty bag whenever I'm off on holiday and when it comes to staying in the UK, it's very easy to overpack and not consider how many products you're actually taking. Here is how I like to pack everything I need into two neat (and not over stuffed!) bags.

First up is makeup and I like to keep everything simple when it comes to the base. I choose the classic IT Cosmetics CC Cream* because this can be adapted to both day and night looks depending on what concealer I use and I of course pack my Hourglass palette which has all the powder, bronzer and blusher I need. Saying this, I do like to make sure I have a couple of different colour ways, so the Nars Orgasm Blusher* is coming with me along with a red lipstick and a pink offering like the Charlotte Tilbury The Duchess* too.

I'm a sucker for anything miniature, so the Milk Makeup Werk Cheek and Lip Stick is coming along as this can be used in multiple places around the face and it hardly takes up any room at all in the makeup bag. The Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara is also a firm favourite in my daily makeup routine anyway, so it would be rude not to bring this along as well.

When it comes to skincare, I like to keep things concise as it's easy to get carried away, I bring a double cleanse including the Origins Original Skin Makeup Removing Jelly and a micellar water to get rid of any stubborn makeup. Packing a nourishing moisturiser is essential to keep any dry patches at bay and my Glossier Invisible Shield SPF will help keep my skin protected during the day when we're out exploring. For a luxe treat, I like to pack a hydrating lip treatment and a face mask for any evening when I've got a spare 10 minutes and my complexion is in dire need of some TLC.

Shampoo and conditioner is where I struggle as I tend to have huge bottles of the stuff dotted around my bathroom, so I have to decant them into smaller containers to fit into my travel beauty bag. I also like to pack the Living Proof Dry Shampoo* as it's the perfect size for a week away along side my IGK Beach Club Spray which keeps my locks volumised and styled.

New Beauty Favourites

I've had lots of new products on rotation in my makeup bag recently and therefore I've discovered some great new favourites that I thought I ought to share with you. I've got a go-to skincare product, a nourishing lip oil oil and a product that surprised me, so read on if you want to know this season's favourites.

I've been wanting to try the It Cosmetics CC Cream* for sometime now, but felt like I had no place in my collection for it, but the raving about how good it was definitely tempted me. When it arrived, I was worried that the shade wasn't for me, as I went for the fairest, but felt like it could have been too light which is something I've learnt from. The formula is lightweight, offers SPF50 coverage and delivers a dewy, natural finish that can easily be worn day-to-day. If you've got a dry complexion like myself then I think you'll absolutely love this, but if you're more on the oily side then maybe it'd would be best to check out the Matte Version

When it comes to liquid eyeliners I'm very fussy; I want a nib that is thin enough to get a precise application, with an intense black finish and long lasting qualities. The Charlotte Tilbury Feline Flick* ticks all my boxes and it surprised me as I wasn't sure what to expect when I first gave this a go. It's easy to remove, but has some serious staying power as this stayed put throughout quite a lot of weather changes in one day!

I think I've found the ultimate luxe lip balm - the Girl Undiscovered Pink Skies Beauty Balm*, a multi-use product that promises to nourish any dry patches you have on your skin, lips, cuticles and feet. I've never heard of this brand before, but their packaging is absolutely dreamy and this is no exception. It's glass bottle with rose gold lid makes for a very chic look in your makeup bag, but it's what's inside that counts as the solid balm transforms into a hydrating oil that works to intensely nourish any areas you apply it.

The Origins Original Skin Makeup Removing Jelly has been a product I've been using daily since I got it and it's so good at dissolving any makeup I have on my face, whilst making my skin feel smooth and soft in the process too. It's great if you like a cleansing oil, but you don't like dipping your fingers in the pot as this squeezy tube makes it super easy to use.

A re-discovery of mine has been the Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Face Serum*, a product from one of my favourite ever skincare ranges - the Fresh Rose Collection. As you probably know by now their moisturiser, mask and toner are some of my must haves if you're looking to invest a little more into your skincare routine, but now I've added the serum to that list too. I think this works even better than I first thought now that I've started using it underneath my Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream* and on it's own before my makeup in the morning. This latter is great as it adds a silky effect that acts almost like a primer that makes my base smoother to apply, whilst not sacrificing any hydration.

A Summer To-Do List

A Summer To-Do List
A Summer To-Do List
- All links in this post are affiliate links. Head to my disclaimer for more information -

Summer is officially here! The new season actually started yesterday, so I thought that there was no better time than to share my Summer to-do list. I've got lots of things planned for the next few months and I'd love it if it inspired others too!

Go To A Lavender Field | Ahh, yes! My yearly tradition of going to a lavender field. I visited long before I was attracted to taking some lilac themed snaps here and I'm hoping to go back this year too. I fill up a bag full of lavender trimmings to take home and share amongst others to help keep flies out the kitchen and to make lavender bags for your drawers.

Fruit Picking | One of my favourite Summer activities is going to pick fruit. I love to get lots of strawberries and raspberries if I'm lucky to eat fresh or freeze for later. Often PYO's don't just offer fruit either, but you can sometimes pick up sweetcorn, broad beans and even sunflowers!

Lots of Picnics | A Summer wouldn't be the same without a picnic, even if it is just one in our garden. I like to do the full spread at least once, so it has olives, tasty focaccia, dips, crisps and even Pimms. Of course, it all has to go in my trusty picnic basket that I got a few years back and I may even pack some music to accompany the occasion too.

Find The Perfect Summer Dress | I own quite a few dresses, but I've not yet found the "perfect one". About seven years ago now I found a white broderie dress in the sale from Topshop on a total whim, but a few years later it looked a bit too shabby to continue being worn and ever since I've been lusting after a dress that's similar. This year I want to find my go-to dress for those warm, Summer days; maybe this ASOS White Broderie one will be the one.

Food Festival | I am aware that most of this post consist of Summer food goals for this year, but going to street food stalls is one of my favourite things to do as you get to sample all the treats and tasty snacks on offer. It's a great way to try out new cuisines and it's easy to spend a full day at a food festival at the weekend especially if it's followed up by evening entertainment like a well timed music gig, comedy or even just a stroll in a park as the sunsets.

Four Non-Makeup Products To Try

Four Non-Makeup Products To Try
- All links in this post are affiliate links. If a product is marked with a * it has been gifted with no obligation to post about it. Head to my disclaimer for more information -

I often share my favourite makeup products, but rarely make time for just dedicating a post to the skincare and haircare I've been loving too. Today I am sharing with you four products that I think are worth a try and that I have been using a lot recently.

I've been excited to try the Kristin Ess Bubble Mask for the longest time, so it had a lot to live up to. It was going to be a make or break whether or not I would invest more into the brand, so I was pleased when I was happy with the results. It's cooling and soothing on the scalp, all whilst removing product build up making for a much more effective shampooing experience in my opinion. The only note I have is to not follow the instructions on the back, but instead section the hair into four sections (or as many as you like) and spray directly to the roots. Applying a dollop to your hands and massaging it in just didn't work out for me, so they best way to go is to apply it as close as you can get.

My hair has been quite frizzy now that the weather is slowly getting warmer, so I've been relying on the Umberto Giannini Miracle Styling Milk to help smooth my locks after washing. It's great when applied to damp hair, so that it keeps everything under control. I try and not wash my hair too often, so instead of it getting greasy, it starts to get dehydrated first. I apply this product to the ends and it keeps my hair feeling soft, smooth and nourished in-between washes!

The sun is now shining and although I use SPF all year around, the Glossier Invisible Shield is my favourite. It's invisible so it doesn't leave a white cast and has a nourishing feel so it sits well under makeup without disrupting foundation, all whilst not smelling of the typical SPF scent.

I am an avid user of physical body exfoliators and I try and use them multiple times a week to rid the body of any dry patches I have, all whilst making the skin looking brighter. The REN AHA Smart Renewal Serum* is a great alternative when I want something easy and quick to use as it helps with uneven skin tone and has cleared up any blemishes I have over my body!

What I've Been Reading, Watching and Listening To This Spring

It's been a while since I shared with you what I've been reading, watching and listening, but I know that I find these sorts of posts interesting, so want to make them a regular feature on my blog again. As it's been a whole season since a catch up, there's a lot to get through!

Watch | Probably my favourite find and one that I keep recommending to anybody that'll listen is Jailbirds on Netflix. It had me hooked and honestly I hope they renew it for another season because it was unlike any prison documentary I've seen before.

If you've already watched this and want something else to binge watch then I'd recommend the second season of Killing Eve and if you haven't watched the first series yet then definitely go now - fast! It's funny, whilst also being incredibly dark, but Villainelle and Jodie Comer who plays her is absolutely amazing and it's worth a watch.

Then new season of Black Mirror has to be mentioned too as I really enjoyed this one, in particular the episode called Smithereens. I won't give much away, but it definitely lives up to some of the earlier episodes. Another dystopian programme I've been delving into again is the Handmaid's Tail, it's a hard watch, but definitely watch it as it's easy to get through a few episodes a night!

On my to-watch list is The Act, a TV show on Hulu that tells the real tale of Dee Dee Blanchard and Gypsy and if you know anything about what really went on then you'll be jumping at the chance to watch this. Another one has to be Chernobyl which I've heard lots about, but maybe I'll wait until we have lots of time to watch this one.
Reading | I've got back into reading recently, more specifically picking up from where I left off with the Marian Keyes' Walsh Family series whereby I'm on 'Anybody Out There'. They're always good because although being written in a light hearted and funny way, they still offer a great storyline that will have you turning pages. Other than that, I'm looking for a few new reads as well, so please let me know if you have any recommendations.

Listening | I'm still lusting after a new podcast, but I'm currently listening to My Dad Wrote A Porno again as it never fails to make me laugh when I'm working away on my computer.

In terms of music I tend to listen to the same music on rotation until I find something new in approximately 6 months and then I end up back to listening to the same music again. That being said, if you do want to know what my Spotify consists of then I've left a playlist below.

A Bedroom Makeover Plan

- All links in this post are affiliate links. Head to my disclaimer for more information -

You many notice from the photographs throughout this post that part of my bedroom has had a bit of a makeover, but the area is still looking pretty bare and unfinished. Rather than waiting til the end to show you the finished result, I thought I would showcase what it's currently looks like whilst I'm in the midst of deciding what needs adding or moving about.

As you can probably see I have a hanging planter that needs filling and I personally love the way it looks hanging from the side of our very oversized mirror. I think once a plant has been placed there (I'm thinking string of pearls!), I think it'll fill the area nicely, but I'm still tempted to add even more house plants to this area in the form of a Wall Mount Terrarium. This gold pick is perfect and doesn't break the bank either, I think it'd be a very cute and welcomed addition.

Another piece from UO that I've been eying up is the Phases of The Moon Wall Hanging which is brass and looks like it would fill the empty space below my shelf and above my macrame nicely - if I move it. The Pressed Flower A4 Frame is honestly beautiful and is something a little bit different to a usual print as we already have a mini gallery wall up in our bedroom above where we sleep.

Talking of our bed, I've switched most of the cushions that were on it and put them downstairs instead which means there's now space for some new picks. Due to the theme of natural rattan and mustard, I'm thinking of going along that colour palette for our scatter cushions too. I've got to admit these Posh Totty Velvet Round Cushions are tickling my fancy at the moment!

Here are a few of my other ideas:

A Daily Everyday Makeup Routine

A Daily Everyday Makeup Routine
- All links in this post are affiliate links. If a product is marked with a * it has been gifted with no obligation to post about it. Head to my disclaimer for more information -

I've been using switching up my makeup a lot recently, changing my lipstick colours, trying out new base products and enjoying a new eyeshadow palette. Today I thought I'd share with you my current daily everyday makeup routine that I've been wearing towards the end of the Spring season.

I've got the new Urban Decay All Nighter Summer Solstice Spray* to play around with and I knew what I was getting involved with as their original offering is one of my all-time favourite makeup products and most repurchased too. It helps to prolong the wear of your base especially as I spritz it after using a moisturiser, but before my primer.

Talking of primer, it's the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow* that I've been using on a daily basis. It's thin formula sits underneath your base without disturbing it whilst adding just the right amount of glow. I like pairing this with the IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream*, a buildable coverage foundation that helps to cover any redness or uneven skin tone you have whilst sitting comfortably on the skin. This is my ultimate day-to-day base as it means I don't have to wear a concealer if I don't want to as well as being easy to blend into your complexion.

As I don't powder down my base as much on the daily, I've been using the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand straight after my foundation as this cream formula can be built up as well as blended out to get the bronzed look that you want.

I tend to reach for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette regularly as if I need to decrease any shine on my t-zone, top up my bronzer or add a little highlighter to my cheeks, I always reach for it. Although the blushers inside are amazing, my go-to at the moment is the Nars Orgasm* as the pink hue with gold flecks running through it is very fitting for the season.
Nars Mini Wanted Palette
The other day the Nars Mini Wanted Eyeshadow Palette* was sent to me and it immediately made it's way into my makeup bag. I've been using it for the last couple of days and I can see myself making my way through this. This is because it's TINY as in really dinky, but this does mean it fit into anywhere with ease and I can still get a fluffy brush in each shade which I was initially worried about. The quality of each shadow lives up to their other formulas and each shade blends together beautifully meaning you don't need to think too much about what to wear - I tend to stick to the left four for everyday wear though and I kind of wish that the full size was in stock! It has to be mentioned that despite the absolutely dreamy hues, the lid is made partly of cardboard so it might be more prone to wear and tear.

I've been using a variety of liquid eyeliners so I can't just narrow it down to one, but the mascara I've been reaching for has been the Too Faced Better Than Sex. This helps to lengthen and add volume to my lashes which I definitely need at the moment! I feel like mascara helps to finish off the whole look and along with my usual eyebrow routine of the ABH Dipbrow Pomade* my whole eye look is complete.

My lip colour changes all the time, but I've been loving the Girl Undiscovered Pink Skies Beauty Balm* to help nourish my lips daily, but I also like it when I want to transform a lip liner into a full on lip shade. It's balm to oil formula leaves the lips looking hydrated and juicy!

Charlotte Tilbury Makeup and Skincare Collection

Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Collection
- All links in this post are affiliate links. If a product is marked with a * it has been gifted with no obligation to post about it. Head to my disclaimer for more information -

I own more Charlotte Tilbury products than any other makeup brand and I think it's safe to say that it definitely puts them high up on my favourite brand list. Not only is the rose gold casing absolutely dreamy, but the formulas are absolutely gorgeous. This post is a long one, so grab yourself a cup of tea, a snack and a pen and paper as you're going to have a wishlist as long as your arm!

Starting with makeup, I recently got sent the Wonderglow* which is a product I've used in sample form for years now. I can't believe it's taken me this long to own it as if you're a regular reader of my blog, you'll know that it's one of my top primers ever! You only need a little amount to add just the right amount of radiance to the skin before going in with your other base products. If you want something a little bit more intense then the Flawless Filter* will be your best bet. It's thicker in formula and I like to use this on the high points of my face instead of all over, but it offers a similar finish the Wonderglow.
Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick Collection
Talking of foundation, I've tried both of Charlotte Tilbury's base offerings, the Light Wonder and Magic Foundation*. The former is great if you want a light coverage that will still cover any blemishes or redness, but it still offers a dreamy dewy finish great for the warmer months. The latter is perfect for those who are lovers of medium to full coverage and although I've bene sent this before, I've been wearing it since it was released after purchasing it myself when a counter came to near where I lived.

Years ago now I owned The Retoucher Pen, but that's now long gone and has been replaced by the Magic Away Concealer*. The sponge isn't my favourite at all, but the formula pleasantly surprised me as it covers my dark circles and looks natural on the skin too. I've lacking a powder in my collection (trust me it's on my wishlist), but I then finish with the Filmstar Bronze and Glow* which was the first ever Charlotte Tilbury I owned.

The bronzing and highlighting duo is perfect for contouring the cheekbones and adding a luminous glow. I actually owned it first because I won it in a giveaway many moons ago, the bronzer side is the perfect hue and I always wish they sold it on it's own too as I tend to use that up much quicker. The only powder blusher I've owned from them is the Cheek to Chic Ecstasy* offering which I owned before but gave away as I wasn't reaching for it as much as I should, but now I've got it again, I've have to say the coral hue is much more 'me' now.

Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Collection

If powder isn't your type of thing, don't worry Charlotte Tilbury will still have you covered and now I'm onto two of my favourite products from them, I'm getting excited to share. The Beauty Light Contour and Highlighting Original Wand are absolutely amazing and although once again I'm not fond of the sponge applicator, what's inside is absolutely amazing. I cannot rave about them enough as the contour wand is super easy to use and blend into the skin, whilst looking natural on the complexion too. The highlighter is the perfect hue for my skin tone and can be used on it's own or underneath a powder illuminator for an extra pop!

If there's one product from Charlotte Tilbury that I didn't get on with it's the Pretty Youth Glow Filter* as I just don't reach for it as much as I thought I would. The highlighter is very subtle on the skin, so the blusher shade is definitely the stand out side. It goes from cream to powder, but you do need to work it up to achieve a good dose of colour.

The eyeshadow quads are some of my favourites too as I think they're a great idea if you don't think you'd use a full sized eyeshadow palette and if you struggle to find the shades that work well together then this is perfect too. It's hard to pick my favourite between Dolce Vita and Vintage Vamp* as although they're quite similar they still offer something different.

Charlotte Tilbury Makeup and Skincare Collection
They don't just offer powder formulas, but cream and pencil too. The Colour Chameleons* are what I use if I want a super smokey look, but I would say go for the one you'll enjoy using rather the one recommended for your eye colour! I then have a couple of Eyes to Mesmerise Pots* which are cream shadows that you can apply with just your ring finger for an easy, on-the-go look. Two new products that I've added to my collection recently that I can't yet comment on is the Full Fat Lashes Mascara* and Feline Flick Eyeliner Pen*. I'm looking forward to giving them a try, so I thought I'd give them a mention!

The Matte Revolution Lipsticks are some of my favourite formulas especially the classic Pillow Talk* shade. The darker hues have to have a mention too as The Queen*, a vibrant pink is absolutely beautiful for this time of the year - I always get compliments whenever I wear it. The Legendary Queen* hue is also a favourite for the Autumn/Winter as although they describe it as a soft neutral wine shade, it's a lot darker than I expected, but it's absolutely beautiful.

It's not very often that I stick to one lipstick for longer than a week before trying something else, but The Duchess* which is part of their K.i.s.s.i.n.g range, is always at hand. It's nourishing formulas works well with my dehydrated lips and the classic pink hue is perfect for all occasions. I particularly like using this with the Pillow Talk Lip Liner* too which I'm glad I have back in my collection after losing it when moving.

Charlotte Tilbury Skincare Collection
If I don't fancy wearing a traditional lipstick formula or I want a classic red pick, I go for the Hollywood Lips in Screen Siren* which is a beautiful hue that was my go-to over the Christmas period. It's a drier formula than the usual liquid lipstick which I really enjoy using as it dries quicker, sits comfortably and you can get a defined look with just the brush too.

When it comes to Charlotte Tilbury skincare I haven't tried much, but the first thing I got my hands on was the Goddess Skin Clay Mask*, a clarifying and detoxing mask that helps to brighten the complexion and tighten pores. I've also tried samples of the Take It Off Eye Makeup Remover* and the Supermodel Body*, both fairly good in my eyes, but I am yet to have the full sized versions yet.

I've enjoyed using my miniature pot of the Charlotte's Magic Cream* for a while now as you only need the tiniest amount at the time, but it goes without saying that the large 50ml is on the steeper side. I think it's great at nourishing dehydrated skin and my complexion seriously loved it in the Winter. I paired it with my sample of the Multi-Miracle Glow* which is a multitasking product that worked well as a cleanser mostly.

Last in the very long post and if you've got to the end then congratulations - it's time to treat yourself to a face mask! The Instant Magic Facial Mask* is a dry sheet mask that you can use up to three times which is something I didn't know until I got my hands on one. It'd be a great pick if you need your skin to glow before an event or a wedding as this seriously packs a punch.

Fail-Safe Father's Day Gift Guide + Giveaway

Fail-Safe Father's Day Gift Guide + Gucci Guilty Giveaway
Fail-Safe Father's Day Gift Guide + Gucci Guilty Giveaway
- This post is an advertised collaboration with Boots, but all thought are my own. See my disclaimer for more info here -

I don't know about you, but I've always found that when shopping for any men in my life, I get stressed out on what to buy them. I'm not sure whether if it's because they're never clear on what exactly they want, but after years of the 'umming and ahhing' whenever asked, I've actually got pretty good at picking out well-received presents. Today, I am helping you out by sharing my top Father's Day gifts from Boots as they have everything you need to make your dad feel special and I've also got some bonus ideas for those of you who are stuck on what to do on the 16th.

Aftershave is of course the best place to start, but before I share my favourites, I wanted to showcase some of the other ways you can treat your dad to a pamper this Father's Day. If they sport a beard then this L'Oreal Men Expert Barber Club Grooming Kit would be the perfect pick as it contains both a beard wash and a moisturiser to keep their beard feeling and smelling great.

If that gift set doesn't tickle your fancy then I think this L'Oreal Men Expert The Daily Expert Set will. It's tailored more towards those who need to spruce up their skincare routine, but I think it'd be a great present to give someone who wants to give them some extra TLC. If you want to give your dad a little something more, maybe you could use the L'Oreal Hydra Energetic Recharging Tissue Mask as a way to hint at you taking him for a facial, spa day or a massage too!

If you want to treat your Dad to some more skincare gifts then the L'Oreal Men Expert Hydra Moisturiser, L'Oreal Face Wash and L'oreal Exfoliating Scrub are all great and are favourites in our household. The trio will help to pamper and preen your Dad this Father's Day - something that I know a lot of ours don't do enough!

Now onto the aftershaves and I think of myself as a connoisseur when it comes to this area as I love (and feel like I'm very good!) at picking out a scents for people. You can never go wrong with Paco Rabanne One Million in my opinion as it suits anybody from young to old. It's long lasting scent lingers on anyone who wears it and is great if you like the traditional aftershave scent, but you want something a little lighter. Another good allrounder is the Hugo Boss Boss The Scent which is a lot deeper than the last pick, but I think everyone that's ever sworn it loves it!
Fail-Safe Father's Day Gift Guide + Gucci Guilty Giveaway

With a sleek black packaging, the Givenchy Gentleman Eau De Parfum is another perfect pick for your Dad. With woody floral notes on top of lavender, vanilla and patchouli this is a classic smelling fragrance that lingers on the skin for a long time - all whilst looking chic on your shelf too.

If you're looking for something a little different, the Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male is a classic and is well-loved for a reason. With notes of lavender, mint and vanilla, it's not the usual scent you'd usually associate with aftershave, if your Dad is silently over the same fragrance he always gets given (I know I've been guilty of this!) this offering would be great for anybody looking for a new scent. Gift this for your Dad on it's own or maybe pair it with a bonding activity of gin tasting (how fab!) or something more active like going to a paddle boarding lesson. I will probably be doing the latter on Father's Day!

Last up is Gucci Guilty, an Eau de Toilette that I am giving away to one lucky winner today, so you can gift this beautiful scent to your dad this Father's Day. It's classic, glass bottle looks gorgeous on display and fragrance offers notes of cedar wood, bergamot and Spanish Cypress.

A Summer Beauty Wishlist

A Summer Beauty Wishlist
- All links in this post are affiliate links. Head to my disclaimer for more information -

Recently I've been lusting after some new beauty pieces to add to my collection and luckily for me, there's been a lot of great new releases that have tickled my fancy. With Boots now stocking Fenty, the new Nars Summer collection and the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess range being released, there's a lot to catch you up on. If you want to be enabled, then read on!

I always associate gift sets with Christmas and I never usually look twice at them unless it's the festive season, but they're really having their moment recently. The Kiehl's Healthy Skin Essentials looks great as they have some favourites of mine and much loved products inside - perfect if you want to try something of everything. The Milk Makeup KUSH Stash Bag has also been on my wishlist for a while now as there's five miniature products inside to try out. It doesn't stop there and the Fenty Bomb Baby Mini Lip and Cheek Set is hands down my favourite find as you can try out the Fenty brand for £18 and have two new products for your makeup bag.

Maybe this is something everyone knows already, but Diptyque now do beauty! Yes you read that right, the famous fragrance brand now offers an Infused Face Mask, an Infused Face Oil (with the cutest petals in!) and Nourishing Lip Balm. They're of course very luxurious and expensive, but if you want to try out a new brand for skincare then I think this would one to check out.

After trying out the newest Ciaté foundation, I am tempted to pick up the Watermelon Burst Primer as I love anything hydrating and I think this would be a great addition as I'm currently only using one primer at the moment.

Whenever the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess range gets released, I always feel like Summer is finally here. The Illumating Heatwave Powder Gelée is absolutely dreamy, just look at that packaging and the swatches of it looks amazing. I always spray the Bronze Goddess Perfume every year, but I've never owned it, so maybe I will finally take the plunge and splurge.

Which of these products would you like to see reviews on?

Pixi Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel Review

Pixi Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel Review
Pixi Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel Review
- This product was sent to me, but with no obligation to review. Products with a * have been gifted to me. All links in this post are affiliate links. Head to my disclaimer for more information -

A couple of months back, I received a parcel full of Pixi's glow including products and inside was the Pixi Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel*, a new addition to this range and one that I have been wanting to try. It promises to leave the skin feeling smooth and energised which is something my skin currently needs, but does it live up to the hype?

After I have a thorough cleanse to remove my makeup, I use this Pixi pick as my second cleanse as I don't like to use this anywhere near my eyes. It doesn't foam up and you only need a little amount each night meaning that it's lasted me a long time. Within a few uses I knew that I was on to something good as the little spots that I've always got underneath my skin on my forehead started to look reduced. After a couple of weeks of use (I've been using it for months now), I've never seen my skin clearer and since using this, even the blemishes I get around my period no longer stick around for the full week.

The only criticism I have is that I've got dry skin and although it doesn't leave my complexion feeling dehydrated at all, I am aware that I'd have to slather on a thicker moisturiser during the Autumn/Winter months. I'm nearly at the end of the tube, but I'm tempted to re-purchase this as I don't want to be without it, but at the same time I want to see how long my skin stays clear when I don't use it.

If you want an alternative to the original Glow Tonic*, then this would be a great product for you and although I like to still use that toner as I find that it makes my complexion more radiant, the cleanser is what I've been reaching for on a daily basis.

Have you tried the Pixi Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel?
