Easy Halloween Makeup

Halloween is next week and over the next few days I want to make the most of it and even wear my makeup a little darker in the form of dark red lips and berry eyeshadow. Here are my favourite products that I'll be wearing on the lead up to the 31st.

The Urban Decay Cherry Palette* was part of my post last year and it's just perfect for these types of looks especially the last four shades on the right hand side. I use this throughout the year, but the dark shade looks gorgeous smudged along the lash line with a shimmer all over the lid. The Viseart Theory II Minx* is definitely on the more luxe side, but as you can see, the six shades are all wearable and it's how you apply them that can make them look intense for Halloween.

For lips there's only one that I'm reaching for and that's the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Queen Lipstick* as this matte shade matches a smokey eye perfectly and the comfortable formula makes me wear it a lot more. It's a classic red hue that can be worn with a darker lipstick in the corners for an ombre effect.

With strong eyes and lips, I like to make my base as glowy and natural as possible, so not only do I adjust my foundation, but I up my highlighter application too. The Laura Mercier Indiscretion Illuminator doesn't give off a blinding glow, but instead a soft one that can be worn all over the face with ease.

It doesn't just stop at makeup as I like to give myself a manicure for the big day too. Essie's Sole Mate and Bahama Mama are two of my favourites as they can easily be worn together for a cool effect, but when worn on their own it's super flattering on the nails and very fitting for this season.

What makeup will you be wearing for Halloween?
